The World Health Organization estimates that nearly 264 million people suffer from depression alone, while 19% of adults have been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. With so much of the world struggling with mental illness every day, why is there still such a stigma surrounding mental health? Let’s explore the importance of mental health awareness, how harmful stigmas around mental health can be, and what we can do to make the world a better place for those dealing with mental illness.
